Dwight Carter is Principal and Leader Learner at New Albany High School in New Albany, OH, and spent the majority of his career at Gahanna Jefferson Public Schools. In 2014 was awarded the Academy of Arts and Science Education Bammy High School Principal of the Year for his transformative leadership. In 2013 Dwight was named one of three NASSP Digital Principals of the Year. In 2012 GLHS and the district earned the title Best In Tech by Scholastic Administrator magazine.
Dwight’s purpose is to positively change lives and impact futures through the profession of education. He presents at a number of local, state, and national conferences about being a connected educator, using social media to increase student engagement, digital leadership, and creating a positive school climate and culture. He believes that, “No significant learning takes place without a significant relationship”-Dr. James Comer. He and his wife, Samantha, have a beautiful daughter, Gabrielle, reside in Central Ohio.
